Carlos Cruz-Diez, RVB – les couleurs du siècle

18 September – 1 November 2014

Since my first encounter with Carlos Cruz-Diez and his sparkling and searching gaze nearly 40 years ago, I have had a deep friendship with the man and an immense admiration for the magician of color. It was obvious to welcome him on the inaugural walls of our first gallery near Biarritz in 1999.

After our installation in Paris in association with the London gallery Gimpel Fils, we had to find the right moment to pay tribute to this great kinetic artist who fits perfectly into our program dedicated to concrete constructed art.

Doubling our space has finally made it possible to complete this project that Cruz-Diez wanted red – green – blue

Geert van Fastenhout: peintures récentes

 13 February – 18 March 2014

At first glance, nothing but a very dark painting that disorients. The saturated color, obtained by a multitude of successive layers, takes over the clearly defined form, pushing the light to the edges of the canvas. As if a niche had been freed up to highlight the “essence” of the color and give it form
