Garry Fabian Miller: réflexions dans une chambre noire
27 October – 3 December 2016
“What if, when we are born, our brain is just a black stone that each day of our life exposes to light, slowly illuminating what will become our mind. Each moment is precious because it forges our thoughts and shapes our intentions for development and the integrity of our actions. The alliance of light and action transforms this dark stone into a light-sensitive cell that radiates energy and, in the right doses, has the power to illuminate the world with beauty and goodness.”

Ivan Contreras-Brunet: hommage
13 February – 30 April 2016
Our gallery is associated with the homage to Ivan Contreras-Brunet of the Maison de l’Amérique Latine: Passage de la couleur, from February 11 to April 30
Since the 1960s, Contreras-Brunet has chosen his favorite material: wire mesh, which he folds, cuts, and modulates at will, seeking new ranges of facets to capture the infinite variations of light. The blurs, the reliefs, the space that he fragments and defragments favor his field of experimentation, of research of combinations to develop his own pictorial alphabet. He also involves the spectator whose movements, displacements make the works vibrate.
